VINOTEMP’S NEWEST WINE AND BEVERAGE STORAGE OPTIONS ARE RECOGNIZED WITH FIVE 2014 PLATINUM AWARDS FOR DESIGN EXCELLENCE - ADEX

April 10, 2014

LOS ANGELES (April 10, 2014) – Vinotemp, a recognized leader in the wine storage and refrigeration industry for nearly 30 years, today announced that the industry's first Two Door Formica Wine Cabinet along with four new mirrored wine storage and beverage coolers have been honored with a Platinum Award for Design Excellence (ADEX) – the largest and most prestigious awards program for product design of appliances, furniture, fixtures and finishes marketed to the design trade.

“The 2013-14 ADEX Awards attracted upwards of 500 companies submitting more than 2,000 innovative new products,” said John Platter, executive director of ADEX. “The ADEX Award has recognized many outstanding product designs over the years, and Vinotemp has earned its place among that elite group.”
The mirrored line were given the highest level of recognition from ADEX:
“It’s been exciting to push the envelope when it comes to the finish and color options of Vinotemp’s newest wine and beverage storage options,” states President of Vinotemp, India Hynes. “Being recognized by ADEX with five Platinum awards is an honor. The esteemed recognitions serve as affirmation of the work it took to create these unique Vinotemp wine and beverage storage options.”

All of the entries in each of the ADEX categories have potential for three award levels of platinum, gold or silver. Judges awarded points based on form, function, value, and fitness for particular purpose. Total points earned determined each winner’s award level. All Platinum, Gold and Silver level products will be published in the 2014 ADEX Winners Edition and be featured all year on designjournalmag.com.

I had a 2011 Vinotemp Wine-Mate HZD 3500 that ceased working on August 22. After searching online for a replacement I found that Goodwinecoolers.com had the best price by far and free delivery options, where others were charging $200 or more, so I placed my order on August 24th. The unit arrived on September 10th in perfect condition and is now installed and working fine. I hope that it will last at least as long as the 9 ½ years of the original unit. Thank you Goodwinecoolers.com!

We haven’t been able to use it yet or even open the box as we are redoing the space it will go in

Mark said: Quick Shipping. Product as advertised

I have to admit I was skeptical. Here was a site that I had never heard of, with the grill I was looking for at hundreds cheaper than the nearest competitor. But, to my surprise it was shipped within days and was exactly as advertised. Very pleased.

A sleek and stylish design. Plenty of space for a good stock up. Didn't get nearly 99 bottles in it, but that's the problem of all these non standard bottles. Much quieter than previous wine fridge.

Highly recommend both the fridge and the vendor

Jim Mallon said: Nice- but not a 300 bottle cooler!

We have only had the Vinotemp cooler for a week and are generally happy with the quality and looks. However, the symbols for the upper and lower zones are reversed from the way they are shown in the pamphlet. The number of shelves given could have easily been increased by at least one. We have rearranged the wine several times and there is no way we are getting more than 210 bottles in it! And it will not be easy to identify the wine other than simply pulling out many bottles stacked on top of each other. Having said that, if you plan to store a good bit of wine for a long time, this wine cooler is fine.
